Are you an experienced and passionate General Practice Nurse looking for a leadership role? High Street Medical Clinic is seeking a Superstar Nurse Coordinator to join our dedicated and supportive team.

We are looking for someone who will thrive in a leadership position, contributing to the clinic’s growth while delivering exceptional patient care.

This full-time position can be rostered over 4-5 days (Monday – Friday) within the hours of 8am – 5:30pm.

About the Role:

As Nurse Coordinator, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the clinical aspects of the clinic, ensuring compliance, infection control protocols, and continual improvements in clinical services. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing common General Practice Nurse duties such as ECGs, Spirometry, Injections, Wound Management, Chronic Disease Management, and more.
  • Assisting doctors with surgical procedures, iron infusions, and Total Body Photography for skin checks.
  • Managing and improving patient programs like Chronic Disease Management and Health Assessments.
  • Monitoring the clinic’s Recall System and conducting regular audits of clinical spaces, stock levels, and clinic checklists.
  • Developing and delivering regular training for the nursing team, ensuring competencies are met and maintained.
  • Proactively identifying areas for Quality Improvement and implementing strategies in collaboration with management.
  • Building strong relationships with your fellow team members, including doctors, specialists, and other allied health professionals.

About You:

You are an experienced Registered Nurse with a genuine passion for general practice nursing. You thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments and are eager to contribute to a team that values collaboration and innovation. With your extensive clinical experience and strong leadership skills, you’ll be ready to step up and drive improvements in patient care while managing a team of nurses. Your empathetic nature, combined with your sharp assessment skills, allows you to manage any situation with confidence and professionalism.

Essential Criteria:

  • Current APHRA registration (RN)
  • CPR Certificate and Working with Children Check
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Passion for ongoing learning and education, demonstrated through CPD logs and certificates
  • Initiative and a professional attitude with a high level of work quality
  • Knowledge of MBS and associated item numbers relevant to general practice
  • Experience in Team Leader, Care Coordination, or similar roles
  • Intermediate skills in the Microsoft suite

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience with Chronic Disease Management, Care Planning, and Health Assessments
  • Experience using Best Practice medical software
  • Experience using POLAR/PENCAT tools, HotDoc, Cubiko, and/or similar data software
  • Immunisation experience (state/federal vaccine schedules, including travel vaccines and sexual health vaccines)
  • Familiarity with RACGP Accreditation Standards for General Practice
  • Nurse Immuniser certification – highly regarded
